Description: “Behold,I come to do Your Will” First Profession and Renewal of Vows of CFMSS This year the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ was even more solemn for the CFMSS family. On Sunday, June 23, 2019, Good Shepherd’s Church, Hauz Khas witnessed a combination of colour and cheer as novice Neha Kujur made her First Profession and became Sr. Neha Kujur CFMSS. The joy of the Clarist Franciscan Missionaries of the Most Blessed Sacrament was doubled by the presence of fourteen junior sisters who renewed their vows for another year. Rev. Msgr. Susai Sebastian, Vicar General of Delhi Diocese was the Main Celebrant for the Holy Eucharist. The Eucharistic Celebration began to the notes of the entrance dance performed by the parish kids under the guidance of the parish leaders. They were followed by the Novice with a lit candle, the other 14 junior sisters, Rev. Sr. Joyce Thadathil (Provincial Superior), Sr. Celsa Padikara (Provincial Councillor). Sr. Zita Cutinha (Junior Mistress) and Sr. Agnes Jacob (Novice Mistress) along with the celebrants and Main Celebrant. In his homily, Msgr. Susai Sebastian emphasized on the need to be united with the Lord who gives His own Body and Blood to nourish us. He also encouraged the youngsters and kids in the parish to be open to God’s ways and projects in our life, explaining the need of people to work in the Lord’s vineyard. After the Holy Mass the neo-professed and the juniors were felicitated with a greeting song by the choir and warm embraces by their elder sisters. The radiant faces of these young junior sisters exhibited the joy of one’s vocation calling and the trust in the faithfulness of the Lord who calls. Great was the contentment of the sisters to share this joy with the Parish Community, thanks to the collaboration of Rev. Fr. James (Parish Priest) and Rev. Fr. Balraj (Asst. Parish Priest) and the participation and support of the Parish Council and Parishioners. Indeed, it is a special grace to be “called” by the Lord to “follow” Him more closely and more perfectly but how much more beautiful it is when the whole Church takes part in this self-giving celebration. As we thank the Lord for the vocation of these young sisters, we also pray that the Lord may continue to accompany them in their life as Eucharistic missionaries.
